My daughter has attended College Gardens for almost a full year. They moved into the new school just 3 months ago, and it is very nice and state of the art. It's in a great neighborhood, and I feel very safe with my daughter being there. The principal, Dr. DuPont, is very nice and tries to make things fun for the children. However, I feel that with the school having the distringuished rating that it has, there is alot of pressure on the teachers to make the children "perform", and that can cause tension when you have children that want to be children, but you have teachers who want the children to be more like adults. Kids are kids, and they should be allowed to be kids. I do feel that the children should be pushed to their fullest potential. However, this should be done in moderation, without the children feeling that they "have" to be perfect at all times. Overall, even though I don't agree with some of the policies, I do want the same outcome, and that is for my child to succeed.
