Quote from our newest brochure (in conjunction with the opening of the new community fitness center, the LeVerne Carlson Fitness Center, "made possible by a generous gift from LeVerne Carlson.")(June, 2009): High School: "There are no fees for extra curricular activities and we feature a "no-cut" philosophy on boys' and girls' sports teams. Students can receive both high school and college credits for doing college level work while still fully involved in high school activities. Our students consistantly score higher than the national average on every category and the composite of the ACT. Science classes build supermileage cars and robots. Science students can compete in local, regional, national and international science fairs." Middle School: " Students learn and grow in a closely supervised environment. Middle school students have a closed lunch separate from the high school students. There are no fees for middle school sports and three gyms ensure your student is home for supper and homework." Elementary: "The average class size is 16 or less allowing for more personal attention. We offer elementary band and choir as well as an elementary science fair." Preschool & Kindergarten: "Alden-Conger Early Childhood and Family Education is recognized as a model program and has been offered FREE since the 2006-07 school year. All Day, Every Day Kindergarten has been offered at Alden-Conger for more than ten years. Kindergarten class size is 11-14."
I would personally rate Alden-Conger School as top-notch as any in the state...there are many, many options for students and families - life-long learning. Talk with people from here and hear their stories whenever you get the opportunity!
