Disston Hamilton Elementary School - Philadelphia - Submitted by: Tina Im a: Parent Date: 12/12/2007
I am a new parent to the school overall the school is not too bad. In comparison to previous schools we have attended, Hamilton Disston lacks programming, staff, and additional things for the children to do. I know part of this is due to the socioeconomic status of the area in general; however something must be done in order to save our children and the future. It is not uncommon and becoming increasingly acceptable for school aged children to roam freely throughout the neighborhoods...

I`m actually only a godmother, but since my godson Tyree Nixdorf started gong to the school in his I.U. class he`s been so much happier and grown stronger as a result of the teachers and the right equipment available for them to use for him. I feel better knowing he`s going to your school because of the staff, tools, and I`ve got to come in to his school and meet the teachers who seemed to really care about him. The difference between this school and his old one is night and day! Almost...
Schenley High School - Pittsburgh - Submitted by: Katan Shackelford Im a: Former Student Date: 24/11/2007
When I attended Schenley High, it was the school to go to. I am saddened that they are proposing to close it after the 2007 school year. My question is, how are they going to fit over 1200 students in Rizenstein Middle School? and is there going to be transportation for the students who live in the Hill district and Oakland Heights? Spend the money to fix Schenley up.

i think people who is pregnant or that has asthma you should at least give them monthly bus passes as well. because people that is pregnent mite not can get around that good. they should get it until there due date is done and then they can stop the bus passes for the pregnants. but with the asthma i think they should get bus passes until they are finish with school meaning the 12th grade because it is hard to be going back and forth to schenley on feet, and it do gets cold very cold in the...
Ben Franklin Elementary School - Uniontown - Submitted by: charlie Im a: Parent Date: 02/11/2007
My review is regards to certain teachers who have favorite students and grade accordingly. Regardless of a student who has straight A's, great classroom performance and punctuality,etc...they still can come out a class room with a bad grade all because they are unliked by the teacher..and i dont want to hear this dont actually exist, because we all know it does. Also i feel the food at ben franklin elem school is horrible..i cant say enough times how many times my daughter gets sick from this...
