Building an Ethical Organization Part 2 Establishing and sustaining a successful ethical organization with a solid morally and ethically envisioned foundation takes continuous effort by all members of the organization. Every member has a particular role to be played which contributes to the organization’s mission of improving the quality of life of homeless teens and their families and the ethical obligation of earning the community’s trust. Innovation, personal learning, continuous improvement, teamwork, diversity, professionalism, flexibility, efficiency and excellence are the defining principles which represent the core values of The Royalty House thus enhancing each member’s commitment for assisting, educating, advocating and coalescing for homeless teens and their families.
Code of Ethics:
Obedience to the Law * Royalty House’s board members, staff and volunteers will obey all laws in the performance of their work on behalf of Royalty House and community services.
Commitment to Diversity * Royalty House’s selection of volunteers, staff and board members and the delivery of programs and services will be employed with the greatest amount of diversity and without regard to any known characteristics of discrimination.
Discrimination and Harassment * Every staff member of Royalty House will refrain from any sort of discrimination or harassment of any clients or co-workers based on race, religion, ethnicity, economic status, gender, age, sexual orientation, or physical ability.
