1. Truth: “As Mr. Radley passed by, Boo drove the scissors into his parent’s leg, pulled them out, wiped them on his pants, and resumed his activities.” (Ch.1 p.13)1. Stephanie Crawford is talking to Jem about what Boo had done. She says that Boo stabbed his dad with scissors and carried on with his activities innocently. This quote is significant because, it shows how fearless and evil Boo Radley can be towards anybody. This makes the reader think that Boo is just a kid who cares nothing of his actions, he may seem innocent but as everybody knows he can be very dangerous.
2. Truth: “The sheriff hadn’t the heart to put him in jail alongside Negroes, so Boo was locked in the courthouse basement.” (Ch.1 p.14)

Dubose. Here she thinks Mrs. Dubose is just an old ill woman that loves to get in people’s heads. This quote is important because it shows how scout thinks Mrs. Dubose acts when she might not you just say hello and try to ignore the rest. The reader is shown that Mrs. Dubose is a cruel woman with no love but to hate everybody who tried to be nice and show gratitude towards her. 8. To kill a mockingbird: “They don’t eat up people’s gardens, don’t nest in corncribs, they don’t do one thing but sing their hearts out for us.”(Ch.10 Pg. 118)
8. Miss Maudie is talking to Scout about mockingbirds and how it is a sin to kill them, because all they do is sing and nothing is wrong with that. This quote is important because it shows those if something is doing nothing wrong then don’t worry about it and mind your own business. Also shows the reader that the people in Maycomb are very laidback and mind their own business if you don’t mess with them they do their best not to mess with you. 9.Atticus: “ Atticus did not drive a dump-truck for the county, he was not the sheriff, he did not farm, work in a garage, or do anything that could possibly arouse the admiration of anyone.” (Ch.10 Pg. 118)
