Thesis statement: In today’s world, as technology is advancing around us, some of the major effects that can be seen are medical technology advances, ease of communication with the growing technology, and the negative effects on our body.

As computers and any device to keep us entertained has evolved over the years, we now see them changing the way we interact and communicate for playing games and keeping entertained. Now, with all of the technology, there is no need for face to face interaction to play a game; we can simply get onto the internet and play a game with a complete stranger. Next, as phones have progressed from corded to wireless, now we have smart phones, and they are affecting the way we communicate with each other. Being able to get into a video call and texting someone is now the normal, and there is no need to actually meet face to face to share information. This affects speech and ways we talk to each other by limiting conversations to shortened version in texting or using a whole new vocabulary while behind a screen. Lastly, another way technology is advancing is through news and entertainment. This media used to be newspaper or by word of mouth. As of today, technology has evolved, and we are getting our information from our phones to just turning on the TV in the morning, and it is affecting how we share information with each other. As social media sites evolve, we are getting to be able to access information on anyone instantly and spread the news a lot faster than in the past.
