Every little girls dream is to have that picture perfect wedding. They want to have that big white dress that sparkles every which way she moves, six or seven bridesmaids, the huge beautiful cake, all the gifts, your daddy giving you away and last but definitely not least, the love of your life, your "Prince Charming." I don't think that I can recall a happier day in my life than my wedding day. My life long childhood dream finally came true. Most people who do take that step to get married want to have a loving and successful marriage. Real, lasting relationships are built on trust. Some people might wonder what trust is in a relationship or how much a relationship could be affected when there is no trust in a relationship? The Webster dictionary defines trust as "confidence in and reliance on good qualities, especially fairness, truth, honor, or ability." In my opinion there definition is very vague and understated. Trust is foundational because it creates a safe environment for intimacy to grow in a relationship and is the key to a happy and successful relationship. Trust ties into every factor of everyone's everyday life. Without trust a marriage would be full of lies, jealousy, blame and hurt. If your relationship is going to work you need to be able to trust your partner with your past, your present and your future. Trust takes time and effort, is easily broken and hard to restore but if you're willing to work at it, the reward is the relationship you've always dreamed of.
A good marriage is made of up… two people living the love they both promised. They are a committed couple. Modern society assumes
