I will have the students raise their hands with suggestions for sentences and write them all down, not worrying about spelling, or if the sentence fits, or neatness. For revising, I will have the students check for word usage, content flow, and whether we should add or delte any details. To begin the editing portion I will have students come up to the class and change any punctuation, spelling, or grammar issues that they see. Now I will re-wrte the paragraph with all of these corrections and publish it for the class to see, also I will handout fancy paper for them to use at their publishing stage. 4. Independent student practice: I will provide each student with their own hamburger worksheet to fill out independently, they can use a topic of their choice, however, I will have a list of some topics already written that can be used for ELL or struggling students, and I will be walking throughout the room, checking progress and giving assistance as needed. Students should use the notes from their pre-writing to start composing their paper. I will allow ELL students to write in their native language if they seem to be struggling. When the students are done they will pair up with a partner and go over each others papers and start editing. They will make corrections using a red pen to things such as grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Be sure to have studentswrite their name on the bottom of the partners
