23 May 2012 One of the Greatest Poets During the Victorian Era… Robert Browning is special in his own way because “when he was five years old he was proficient at reading and writing.” Also Robert read many of books. “In many poems he achieves effects of obvious felicity. The most memorable thing about Robert Browning’s life is that “he wrote an entire volume of the Byronic verse when he was twelve years old. “Hold on, hope hard in the subtle thing.” This relates to him because the women he loves is the only one getting him through jail. He just thinks of her and only her during jail. Also he’s trying to do anything to get out of jail just to be with her. Liebowitz 3
A Women’s Last Words is another poem by Robert Browning. This makes him a good poet because he is writing a poem about how he loves his wife and what he would do for her.
The poem is related to his wife. “Be a god and hold me.” This relates to him because he would always care and love for his wife no matter what. “Be a man and fold me.” This relates to him because he will always protect her from anything no matter what it is. “I will speak thy speech, Love.” This also relates to him because he will always speak his mind and to be honest with his wife. Also he would love her no matter what.
In conclusion, Robert Browning was a fantastic and a smart poet. He loved his wife no matter what. He would do anything for her. He was proficient at reading and writing at the age of five, he wrote an entire volume of the Byronic verse when he was twelve years old, and he was a music purest and profoundest of the arts. He barely wrote poems when he got married. He wrote his best book ever in 1868-69. It was called The Ring and The Book. He wrote over fifty poems during his life time.
