Keeping waste to a minimum decreases the amount of waste a business contributes to the environment. Also reducing waste can serve to save a business money. By enacting plans that conserve materials, they will inevitably cut down on the amount of materials they need to purchase.
2. Identify at least two main causes of waste in a business environment. [4.2]
Energy, Energy is a big main cause of waste in the business, leaving lights, pc’s and televisions or radio’s on all day uses so must wasted energy.
Office supplies, is another common waste. Not checking proofs before printing is a big waste, excessive use of printers when not needed.
