A modern day Christian can take Genesis 1-3 and science seriously. What contradicts this is how science countlessly claims to “prove” Genesis 1-3 wrong. The degree in which a Christian can take both Genesis 1-3 and science seriously is disputed by scientific and Christian evidence all over the world but the genuine point is that science interprets Genesis 1-3 wrong, it interprets it in a mechanistic manor rather than a literary approach. Another scientific piece of evidence that claims to prove Genesis 1-3 wrong is Darwinism, which humans, creatures and vegetation evolved to a form that can survive to this harsh modern day that has issues like frequent condition changes and the ever-present destruction of man-kind. Although Darwinism is a key explanation to how we have evolved today the concept of intelligent design puts Genesis 1-3 in the same boat as science. This is because the precise human body we take on today could only be in the creation of god, not by some billion or even more humongous number to 1 chance that we just came to be a perfect design. These points of theistic evolution and intelligent design suffice to put science in the same boat as Genesis 1-3 because of how Genesis 1-3 can contradict science just as much as science can contradict Genesis.
