Mac vs. PC: The Everlasting Debate

In the world of computers, the choice of systems can be a complicated one. There are two competitors out there, PCs and Macs. Everyone has their own opinion on which is better, and there are many die-hard fans in each camp. The truth is, PC's are far more popular, and for good reasons, yet the Mac system is actually the more durable and useful of the two. Firstly we will consider software availability. The majority of computer users own PC's, both for work and recreational use. Therefore, software companies find that it is far more profitable to develop software that is for use on a PC instead of a Mac. If a person wanted a machine that looked nice and was easy to use, the obvious choice would be a Mac, but if they wanted a system that could support specialized software or games, the PC would be the best choice. The fact remains that most people don't need special software, and most computer users aren't gamers, so the Mac should theoretically be the computer of choice for most. In the battle for PCs and Macs, neither seems to be able to completely beat out the other. There will always be die-hard fans of each system, but the PC got ahead of the Mac in the popularity contest, and is most common today. The truth still remains that the Mac is the best system to use in day-to-day life. References
