S.W.O.T Situational Planning Strategy
“SWOT is an acronym for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. By definition, Strengths (S) and Weaknesses (W) are considered to be internal factors over which you have some measure of control. Also, by definition, Opportunities (O) and Threats (T) are considered to be external factors over which you have essentially no control. As the C.E.O. of this organization, it is time to revise the strategic mission and plan of the organization from three years ago. Looking over three year’s ago strategic plan and how the company is doing this year, I would have to address the issues confronting Community South Medical Center now and not wait until next year. You shouldn’t put off what can be fixed now, until next year. The issues are going on now and they might worsen by next year. Anything could happen in a year’s time. I would have a board meeting with all the executives, all the managers of each department and sit down to come up with strategic plans on how to get our organization back on top. I would definitely talk to the Human Resources department and let them know to post job positions for the company out abroad so we can fill the positions that we lack in. I would talk to every department that are consumed with major issues and see if we can resolve the issues. We need to make sure we are completely staffed, that our numbers are correct, that are IT department is all together and make sure the Accounting department is compliance with The Joint Commission. I want everybody to be on the same page. We had a slight set back, but we need to recover and fix the
