Another factor of achieving competitive advantage through human resource management is by providing HR the tool for performance measure for employees.
3.3 Managing Disputes
As one of HRM’S many responsibilities, managing disputes is an important role in which HRM’s Industrial relations regulates. There are many disputes which can occur in the workplace, these disputes can be resolved by the HR department through methods such as negotiation, mediation or arbitration. Through mediation, a neutral third party will intervene conflicting parties and form a resolution that both parties will agree upon, the reason for a neutral third party is that he/she will have no biased influence on conflicting parties and can assess the situation thoroughly. These effective tools in place can assist an organisation in effectively dealing with disputes and conflicts.
4. Theoretical frameworks
There are particular frames of reference and contracts which aim to analyse the different ways in which management can view the relationship between organisation’s, capital and labour.
