Final Paper Wrestling is one of the oldest sports in the world. No one is sure who invented the sport but it was first implemented as a real sport in the first Olympics in the year 776 B.C. When someone is cutting weight, nothing makes them happy except eating food. You become extremely irritable, everything just pisses you off, you can’t concentrate, and life is just shit for lack of a better term. Kids do it so they can be the biggest kid at the lower weight class. There is a right way to cut weight and there is a wrong way. The right way is to start early, know how your body reacts to less food, eat 6 small protein packed meals a day, stay hydrated at all times, keep to a strict diet and don’t cheat, and work out religiously. It’s like having a heavy duty Mac truck trying to do its job without any gas, it just doesn’t work. I myself have cut weight the wrong way so I know how it feels, I didn’t figure out the right way until senior year. I would work out in rubber suits and sit in saunas for hours to lose weight. Rubber suits are outlawed by USA wrestling after 2 people died after working out in them trying to make weight. Three
